Monthly Coin Toss: ~Pokémon Card Magazine~

In Japan, the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (Super Nintendo/SNES, I like to pronounce it "snezz" because I just do) is known as the Super Famicom (Super Family Computer/SFC). Nintendo had a deal with Japanese satellite radio provider St.GIGA and developed an add-on for the Super Famicom called the Satellaview, which provided online services to the console from 1995 to 2000. Downloadable content such as games, audio dramas, and digital magazines were available through this service.

One of these magazines was Monthly Coin Toss: ~Pokémon Card Magazine~ (月刊コイントス~ポケモンカードマガジン~). It focused on the Pokémon Trading Card Game, and gave players advice and advertised new releases. Since the service is discontinued, the magazine is no longer available. However, since screenshots exist (such as the one in this article), and they're the correct resolution for a SNES screenshot, ROM dumps must exist. I've also seen videos on Youtube of people playing the ROMs on emulators. Please help me locate these ROMs.

Todd Snap

Todd Snap was originally supposed to be just "Snap," but when he first appeared in his debut episode Pokémon Paparazzi on Kids' WB! he was referred to as "Todd." He travelled with the group in this episode and through the next two episodes, The Ultimate Test and The Breeding Center Secret. In the Nintendo 64 game Pokémon Snap, he is still referred to as Todd.

Then, in all VHS and DVD releases of the above episodes, he is referred to as "Snap."

Years later, the group meets him again in Johto, where he travels with them again in the episodes Moving Pictures, Spring Fever, and  Freeze Frame. This time, he's referred to as "Todd" on TV and on home video releases. There is a theory involving cereal company Kellogg's and their character Snap (one of the Rice Krispies mascots), where the name "Snap" could not be aired on television for legal reasons.

When Pokémon Snap was re-released on the Nintendo Wii's Virtual Console in 2007, Nintendo put an end to this confusion by confirming that "Todd" is his first name and "Snap" is his last name, making both names correct and his full name "Todd Snap."

The "Todd" versions of Pokémon Paparazzi, The Ultimate Test, and The Breeding Center Secret are the ones aired on Cartoon Network and Boomerang, whereas the "Snap" versions of the same episodes are the ones currently available on DVD. I want copies of the "Todd" versions, so if anyone has these, please share. I'm not sure if old episodes of Pokémon air on Boomerang anymore, but if they do, please record (I can't get Boomerang, Comcast doesn't offer it).

Club Battle Finale: A Hero's Outcome!

One of the things I am looking for are different versions of the same dubbed episode. Reasons for different versions include error corrections and network censorship. Later re-airings may have these errors corrected. As for network censorship, Kids' WB! airings apparently had different versions of 4Kids episodes than VHS/DVD releases and Cartoon Network do.

For my first true post, I have a question for our friends in Australia. According to Bulbapedia, Australian airings of Black & White episode 42, Club Battle Finale: A Hero's Outcome!, features a title card error. Instead of "Club Battle" it says "Battle Club." Is this true? If so, please reply and post proof if possible (I'm a bit skeptical). I'd like to own a copy of this version, so if someone could rip it, please do (if it exists, that is).

Update: Seems it wasn't just Australia, as pokemon.com has this version uploaded for viewing.

Introduction

This is my blog. I'm looking for Pokémon-related media (mostly video) to collect, hence the blog's name. Specifically, commercials and anime-related things, mostly English, but also Japanese. More specifics later.
